Congrats Kadrian and Chad!!!

My cousin Kadrian (and one of my besties) and Chad (a great friend of mine as well) got engaged this weekend!!! He proposed in NYC, where they lived before moving to Dallas in May. I am so happy for them and CANNOT wait to be a bridesmaid! I already want to start planning a shower and they aren't even getting married til next year. Hehe. I just adore weddings, but I especially adore weddings of people that I love!! I decided to post a picture of the ring, because it is way too pretty not to. It's a sapphire with diamonds around and looks just like Kadrian. Chad did an amazing job picking it out!! Cheers!!!

LOVE IT

So this marries two of my great loves: Disney and holidays. It makes me so happy.

This makes me want to go to Disney World in a bad, bad way. I am having withdrawls. I think this has been the longest I have gone without a trip to either Disney theme park....2 years. Ok, now I'm sad.
A side note: As I type my husband is eating candy corn.....I think my picture inspired him.

Home on the Range

I found this website awhile ago and absolutely love it: http://barndandys.com/ The company is actually out Oklahoma, so that is really cool! I am totally getting the teepee for Reagan and Bailey for Christmas, but in the flower pattern. They will have so much fun!!

I also really want a couple of these TV trays.......Not sure what print yet....

Just thought I would share....they have a lot of fun stuff for kids (and adults....I have to admit I really want a teepee) and I love the vintage textiles!!! Hope you check it out!

Hey There Cupcake

I found this at Williams-Sonoma and thought it was just too cute not to share. It's called The Great Cupcake Pan. It's a cake pan that is shaped like a giant cupcake (6 inches high and 7 inches across) The picture is of the end product. I already bought it as a gift for someone! Amazing!

Corn MaIze and Punkin Patch

This weekend Rayce and I went to a 5-acre corn maze and pumpkin patch in Shawnee! It was so much fun! It was opening day (it's the only free weekend we will have for the awhile) and it wasn't busy at all....it was so nice.

The corn maze was actually pretty hard.....They had trivia questions at different posts to tell you to turn right or left, but in between the posts there were lots of places to take a wrong turn and run into a dead end. We actually got lost a few times....it was really disorienting. I have a horrible sense of direction, so we probably should have just gone opposite of any direction I thought felt right...Oh well. It was really fun...you can go at night too, but I think that would be kind of creepy.

The pumpkin patch was "cut your own". They were all still on the vine and we got to pick them and cut them ourselves. So cool!

There was also a little petting zoo, a train ride for kids, a hay ride, and cute little games. It would be so much fun for a family outing.....

Our pumpkin picks:
my favorite

All in all it was a great day!! We got pretty pumpkins and had lots of fun....Now I need to decide how to decorate them....Let me know if you have any fun ideas! I have a couple....but we will see.

Test run

I went home this weekend (to Sapulpa) to help my mom babysit my nieces Bailey and Reagan. Bailey is 8 going on 45 and Reagan is 21 months......I am still exhausted. The babysitting extravangza began on Friday and ended on Monday (my brother took my sister-in-law to Washington for the OU-Washington game). I got back to Ada Monday evening and was asleep by 9:30. TIRED.

We went to the Riverwalk, went shopping, watched football, etc. etc. etc. I defintely got a little taste of what it would be like to have children. I mean I spend a lot of time with my nieces and nephew BUT it's is always in short increments of time and I get to go home at the end of the day. Not this weekend. I told my mom I was exhausted and I asked if her if I would be this tired when I have kids and she said "It's different when they are your own"....I don't believe her. It proved to me that Rayce and I need to wait for awhile before we have kids. So if I end up "with child" anytime soon just now it was a happy "surprise".....

Here are some pictures. They are all of Reagan because Bailey is in that stage where she doesn't want her picture taken much.... The pictures of Reagan with a serious or mad expression is actually her trying to smile. Anytime I would say "Reagan smile!" She would get that look on her face...then she would eventually break out into a smile. I still don't know what she was doing. She was modeling some of her new outfits for us...my favorite is the Leaf Dress with the striped tights....It was so much fun picking out clothes for her!! I have to have a girl someday!! We went to Wal-mart and before we could park the car (it is about 2 minutes from the house), she had fallen asleep in her carseat, so we had to put her in the grocery cart.....I guess we tired her out that day....

I had so much fun with the girls this weekend....I think it was a good bonding weekend. This was the first time Reagan has been away from her mommy (or I should say her mommy has been away from her) so we were all a little nervous. She did great.....2 year olds don't really have a great concept of time....for all we know she thought her mom was gone for like 10 minutes.

Bailey was good too....we organized her room. She loved it. She must take after her Aunt Sara.

I cannot wait to move back to Tulsa in May!!!! We are getting so excited.

I also got to take a couple of breaks and go eat with friends! It was great! :) Lesley and I were supposed to eat Monday, but through a series of unfortunate events we ended up in two different places. Too funny. We will get together soon!!

Galosh.

Rayce surprised me with these Burberry rain boots!! So cute! I have been wanting some FOREVER. What a great husband. Now I just need it to rain.

Ayo, Nanotechnology

So I go to class today and the only people there are my teacher and two girls from class....I asked what was going on and they told me we were supposed to go to some lecture in the Science building. It turns out it was a lecture on NANOTECHNOLOGY and SUPERCOMPUTERS. Wow. I have no idea what the guys was talking about or what it had to do with entrepreunership, but I sat there and listened for over an hour.....that is something that could only happen to me.

Along with that I had the privilege of going to the "woman doctor" today. I was in the waiting room and they called my name. I went and the nurse was getting ready to weigh me and said "so you are here for your post-partum check up". I said "uhhhh.....no". Needless to say she had the wrong Sara. Glad she asked before I had to meet with the doc. Yikes. Do I look like I just had a baby? I sure hope not. Also, there was a lady at the doctor who is due in 3 weeks and her baby is already 8 lbs. 9 oz. No thank you.

What a great day.

I have to watch the movie "October Sky" for my entrepreunership class. It has about as much to do with entrepreunership as nanotechnology does.

Really, nanotechnology?
